Can you imagine not having any access to a toilet or any form of sanitation facility... ever? Many families living in the remote areas of Malawi and Zambia face such predicaments and often suffer from poor health and diseases due to the lack of proper and hygienic sanitation. We're helping to decrease the incidence of sickness and keep families alive by building toilets. Some people will have access to it for the first time! Every month we contribute to providing another person in Malawi with access to a toilet for a full year.
Every month we make it possible for another person to have access to life-saving clean water for life. We do this by sponsoring a simple well and water pump. In the villages of Malawi, high infant and child mortality are caused by water and sanitation-related diseases. These problems are made even worse by a lack of knowledge about proper hygiene. This well and water pump makes a huge fundamental change. Done. Given.
